Lithuanian film ‘Toxic’ wins the Golden Peacock at IFFI 2024

Nov 28- Lithuanian film ‘Toxic’ has bagged the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for the Best Feature Film at IFFI 2024. Director, Saulė Bliuvaitė received the Golden Peacock Trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of Rs. 40,00,000, shared with the producer, Giedre Burokaite.
Curtains came down today on the 9 day International Film festival which commenced on Nov 20.

▪ The Best Director Award – Bogdan Muresanu from Romania for the film ‘The New Year That Never Came’.
▪ Best Actor Female award – shared by Vesta Matulytė and Ieva Rupeikaitė for the film ‘Toxic’.
▪ Best Actor Male – Clément Faveau for the movie Holy Cow.
▪ ICFT – UNESCO Gandhi Medal -Swedish filmmaker Levan Akin’s film ‘CROSSING’
▪ Best Web Series (OTT) Award -Marathi Web Series ‘Lampan’ won
▪ Best Debut Director of Indian Feature Film – Navjyot Bandiwadekar , Marathi Film ‘Gharat Ganpati’
▪Best Debut Feature Film award – American Director Sarah Friedland for ‘Familiar Touch’
▪ Special Mention – American Director Sarah Friedland for ‘Who do I Belong To?’
