Digital Goa, Aug 1 – Widow availing DSS scheme will now be able to take the benefit of Griha Aadhar scheme also if her youngest child is below 18 years of age , informed Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai. Proposal to this effect has been approved ‘in principle’ by the Government. The scheme will be sanctioned to the beneficiary within 3 months, he added. Under the DSS scheme widows are entitled for Rs 2,500 benefits per month while govt gives women in the state Rs 1,500 per month under Griha Aadhar scheme.
