Digital Goa, Dec 19 – CM Pramod Sawant today called for dire need to control the rates for Tourist related facilities from flight to taxi and hotel rates, if Goa has to maintain its status as number one tourist destination. “From Flights rates to taxi and hotel rates need to be controlled. The undue loot of tourists has to stop,” asserted CM. We will have to face the consequences if we do not streamline transport, hotels and others ailed tourist related services and bring a change in our approach, he cautioned. Sawant also warned that government will not tolerate high handedness of any kind from transport service operators and other stakeholders.
Reduction of unemployment and empowering women and youth with skill education for gainful employment are the focus areas set for the state for this year, said CM Sawant while speaking at the state level Goa Liberation Day function held at Goa University ground today.
