Digital Goa, Nov 28 – Marred by alleged grain smuggling scam, the Civil supplies department has now decided to put up display boards with information about grain availability and other details at all the 470 fair price shops across the state. The department has invited bids for supply of 470 informative display boards made of aluminum sheets (Aluminum Composite Panel [ACP]) of 4 x2 ft in size and stuck with eco solvent sticker with colour printed matter showing beneficiaries rights for displaying in Fair Price Shops in Goa. Updated information such as number of Ration Cards, quantity of rice, wheat, sugar supplied under various schemes with opening and closing balance etc will be displayed on the board. Contact information related to Grievance Redressal and Vigilance Mechanism at Taluka, District and village, Sarpanch of Village Panchayat etc will be also displayed on the board.
