Anti-Corruption Bureau has not received single complaint of corruption in last 5 years- SP Ashesh Kumar
Digital Goa, Nov 2 – In the last five years, since 2018, Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) has not received single complaint of bribery, disproportionate assets etc against any officer of central govt and its undertakings, informed Superintendent of Police CBI(ACB) Ashesh Kumar. “That means there is no corruption in Goa and there is Ramrajya here,” said the senior officer. “We are sitting idle here,” he added. ACB Goa is conducting trial of 80 cases in all. Only 3 cases have been registered with CBI in Goa in the last year, he said. ACB deals with anticorruption cases related to offices of central govt and its undertakings including Customs, Income Tax, banks, Goa Shipyard, MPT etc. Chiding that public tolerance to corruption is very great here, Kumar urged Goans to come forward and fearlessly lodge their complaints. He assured to take action even on oral complaints. He was speaking during the press briefing held as part of Vigilance Awareness week. Complaints can be lodged physically at the CBI office at Bambolim, on email- hobacgoa@cbi.gov.in or on mobile numbers 9006872084 (SP/Head of Branch) or 9405799706, 9404528441, 9404851621, 9923136900, 7760865241 (Investigating Officers)
