Digital Goa, Oct 5 – Plans are afoot for nationalisation of major routes in Goa by using the services of both private buses as well as Kadamba Transport Corporation buses, informed CM Pramod Sawant. The process will be completed by next Dussehra, he added. Govt is looking at devising a formula to use existing private buses and KTC buses plying on various routes to give best services to the people, said Sawant. “We do not want to disturb both, but give best service to the people,” he asserted. CM further assured that no employee of KTC will be sent home even after significant number of electrical buses are deployed and nationalisation of routes takes place. “Existing staff will be accommodated. Efforts are also on to bring the corpn in profit,” he said. He was speaking at the 42nd Anniversary Celebration of Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd.
Stating that Goa will play major role in Gati Shakti scheme of center in logistic due to its road, rail, air and port connectivity, Sawant asked youth to get equipped with courses related to logistics to take advantage of the job opportunities that will open up in the sector.
