CM breaks silence on KA renovation controversy; gives clean chit to Gaude

Digital Goa, Oct 20 – CM Pramod Sawant finally broke his silence in Kala Academy renovation controversy and gave clean chit to Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude, by asserting that there is no scam of any kind by anybody in the renovation work. “There is absolutely no scam of any kind by anybody in Kala Academy work. All procedures have been rightly completed,” claimed Sawant. CM, PWD Minister and Art & Culture Minister inspected the ongoing work of Kala Academy. Opposition has been aiming guns at Gaude alleging large scale scam in allocation of renovation tender of the iconic structure. BJP spokesperson Savio Rodrigues had also demanded inquiry into tendering of the work on nomination basis. Earlier today, Goa Forward chief Vijay Sardesai had made fresh allegations against Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude and had alleged Rs 66 crore scam in the Kala Academy renovation work. All exaggerated figures mentioned in allegations are wrong, asserted Sawant.

▪ Entire Renovated Kala Academy premises will be ready for use before Dec 8
Entire premises of renovated Kala Academy will be ready for use by Dec 8, informed CM today. He said that except for the main auditorium, all other areas of Kala Academy will be ready for use before Nov 20 and will be used for IFFI. Main Auditorium will be ready before Dec 8 and will be used to host World Ayurveda Congress from Dec 8 to Dec 11, he added.
