Digital Goa, Sept 7 – Goa govt has sought amendment to CRZ notification 2011 to allow sand mining in flowing rivers, informed Environment Minister Nilesh Cabral today. He also said that he was sought permission from Union Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to allow traditional sand mining in CRZ areas. He was speaking to media persons in the capital. CM Sawant had earlier this week directed that necessary steps be taken to start sand mining through traditional extractors on an urgent basis.
