Digital Goa, Sept 16 – Goa is all set to host the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 to be held from Oct 11 to Oct 30, informed Sports Minister Govind Gaude. India is the host country of the prestigious sporting event. Giving the detailed event schedule in Goa, Gaude said that the logo will be unveiled on Sept 21, FIFA Carnival will be held on three days from Sept 22 to Sept 24 at Cujira – Bambolim, Utorda and one more place which is still to be finalised. Grand opening of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 will be held at Bambolim Stadium on Oct 10. Of the 32 matches, 16 will be held in Goa and the remaining will be held at 2 more venues, the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
Incidentally, Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) has floated event management tender to the tune of Rs 3.15 crore for FIFA today.
