Digital Goa, Sept 8 – Wildlife Institute of India(WII) will undertake cumulative Environment Impact Assessment(EIA) on wildlife habitat and ecological values due to proposed doubling of railway track from Tinaighat to Kulem in the northern Western Ghats. The Dehradun based institute has invited applications from experts in the field for carrying out the EIA. The period of recruitment will be for 12 months. In May this year the Supreme Court had set aside the clearance granted by the National Board for Wildlife (NBWL) for doubling the railway line from Castle Rock in Karnataka to Kulem in Goa.
