Digital Goa, Aug 22 – Goan Sportsperson winning laurels for the country will be nominated by the govt for jobs in government departments, announced CM Pramod Sawant today. He was speaking at the felicitation program of Chess player Bhakti Kulkarni. Bhakti was part of the four member team that secured bronze medal in the women’s section at the 44th Chess Olympiad held earlier this month. Goa govt has offered Bhakti a job with the Sports Authority of Goa(SAG). “Permanently, state will consider these type of offers for sportspersons bringing medals for India at the international level. For other sports persons also, there will be sports category quota,” said Sawant. He also said that the state is contemplating of having Taluka level coaching centers in collaboration with Chess associations in the state.
