Sonali Phogat’s autopsy reveals ‘multiple blunt force injury’, murder case registered against 2 associates
Digital Goa, Aug 25 – Goa police have registered complaint under IPC Section 302 (punishment for murder) against two associates of BJP leader from Haryana, Sonali Phogat after post-mortem report revealed “multiple blunt force injuries” on her body. The murder charges have been slapped against Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Wasi, who had accompanied the 43-year-old leader and content creator when she arrived in Goa on August 22, as per police officials. Sonali’s brother Rinku Dhaka had filed a complaint against the two men at Anjuna Police Station yesterday and alleged of foul play in her sister’s death. Reports of the autopsy conducted on Phogat’s body at the Goa Medical College(GMC) and Hospital had revealed “multiple blunt force injuries” on her body.
“However, there are multiple blunt force injuries on her body. In view of the above the cause of death is for the investigating officer to ascertain,” states the postmortem report. Viscera report has also been sent for investigation. After the autopsy, Sonali’s family has left for their native place along with her body. “FIR has been based on our written complaint at the Anjuna Police station. There are 4 to 5 major injuries on her body. My sister should be given justice,” said her brother. Family has said that they are satisfied with the autopsy report and will not go for second opinion. Property grabbing is the likely reason for the preplanned murder of Sonali, alleged family members.
