Digital Goa, Aug 29 – NDPS Court will hear the bail application of Edwin Nunes on September 2. Suspected drug peddler Ramdas Mandrekar who was among the 3 arrested with Nunes, has withdrawn his bail application. Meanwhile Linnet Nunes alias Linneto Lobo wife of Edwin Nunes has filed anticipatory bail application before the North Goa District & Sessions Court. Edwin’s lawyer had told the court yesterday that Edwin was not the legal owner of Curlies Restaurant and that there was no ground for his arrest. Police has arrested Nunes and two other Goan suspected drug peddlers in the Sonali Phogat murder case. Police had said that narcotic drug methamphetamine was forcibly given to Sonali by her associates while she was partying at Curlies restaurant on the night before her death. Two of Sonali’s associates from Haryana have also been arrested.
