Digital Goa, Aug 26 – Chairperson of Margao Municipal Council Lyndon Pereira today resigned from the post of Margao Chairperson after 15 months in that chair, paving way for the election of new chairperson. Lyndon Pereira, who belonged to Fatorda United panel led by Fatorda MLA Vijay Sardessai, resigned from the post as per the understanding with Margao Model panel led by Margao MLA Digambar Kamat. As per the understanding, councillor from Margao Model panel will occupy the chair for next 15 months.
