President Kovind lays foundation stone of new Raj Bhavan; 450-year-old Raj Bhavan building will be declared as national monument : Governor Pillai

Digital Goa, June 15 – The existing 450-year old Raj Bhavan building will be declared as National Monument and thrown open for public viewing, announced Goa governor P S Sreedharan Pillai. “Existing Raj Bhavan will be thrown open for tourists,” he said. He was speaking during the foundation stone laying ceremony of Annexe building of Raj Bhavan at Dona Paula at the hands of President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. Governor also advocated for promotion of spiritual tourism ‘not confined to any religion’ in the state. In view of legalities associated with ensuing Presidential elections, President Kovind did not address the gathering.
