Digital Goa, June 3 – Beach Vigil App which will aid in reporting issues such as garbage on the beach, hawkers and other violations and also act as contact point during medical emergencies was launched by the state govt today. “The app will be a point of coordination between police, beach cleaning agency, Drishti lifesavers, shack owners and the state tourism dept,” said Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte further pointing out that lack of co-ordination between these five bodies has led to many problems in beach management. CM Pramod Sawant who launched the app said that inputs from the app will help the govt bring in more improvements and developments in the Tourism Industry.
