Goa ranks 6th among 10 states in E-Governance Service Delivery Assessment 2021

Digital Goa, June 13 – With a score of 0.77 , Goa has ranked dismal 6th among 10 states in the Group A category as per National E-Governance Service Delivery Assessment (NeGSDA) report 2021. The report was released by Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today. The report also pointed out that Goa is providing least number of mandatory services online. However, the state’s overall score has increased from 0.74 in 2019 to 0.77 in 2021. Kerala topped the list among Group A states followed by Tamil Nadu and Punjab.
Overall performance score for Goa governments portals on various parameters is as follows – Accessibility (0.50), Content Availability (0.86), Ease of Use (0.86). Performance of various Goa govt portals offering G2C and G2B services across seven sectors was judged in the report based on parameters of Accessibility , Content Availability ,Ease of Use ,Information Security and Privacy , End Service Delivery , Integrated Service Delivery, Status & Request Tracking. Based on these parameters overall performance of the govt portals for each of the sectors was as follows – Finance(0.59), Labour & Employment (0.38), Education (adequate assesment data not provided by state), Social Welfare including Health, Agriculture & Home Security( 0.11), Local Gov. & Utility Services(0.58), Environment including Fire (0.65), Tourism (0.59) . Average performance was across all sectors was 0.41 , and based on these the state has been ranked 8th .
The report categorized states into Group A(10 states), Group B (8 States), North East States(10 states), Union Territories (6 states). A total of 56 mandatory services were assessed for every State & UT and 27 services were assessed for Central Ministries by the report.
