27 Congress workers detained by police for protesting outside Raj Bhavan at Dona Paula

Digital Goa, June 16 – Police detained several Congress workers including GPCC President Amit Patkar for allegedly blocking road outside Raj Bhavan in Dona Paula. As part of nationwide protest against the alleged harassment of their leader Rahul Gandhi by ED, local Congress held a morcha on Raj Bhavan at Dona Paula. Congress leaders claim that they had taken an appointment with Governor and they were supposed to hand over a memorandum to the Governor on the treatment meted out to Rahul Gandhi. “Despite having appointment we were dragged by police into buses and taken away from the spot”, one worker said.
