Mauvin prays to court to discharge him of offences charged with in power rebate scam case

Digital Goa , May 5- Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho has urged Additional Sessions court, South Goa to discharged him from the case pertaining to the alleged power rebate scam filed by the Crime Branch against him and others. Through the application filed by his advocate, Mauvin has prayed to the court to stop the proceedings and discharge him of the offences charged with. Mauvin, who was the power minister then, is allegedly the key accused in the alleged Rs 5.54 crore scam of 1998. The matter has been kept for reply and argument by the Court on May 23.
