Digital Goa, May 16 – Supreme Court’s recent decision on double tracking as per Central Empowered Committee(CEC) recommendation is applicable to the Castle Rock to Kullem stretch. The ruling is not applicable to Kullem to Vasco route and work will go on as planned, informed Environment Minister Nilesh Cabral today. He was speaking to media persons after attending meeting chaired by CM Sawant on Double tracking along with officials of South Western railways(SWR). Cabral further said that issues such as Mangoor Hill underpass, increasing the height of underpasses to ensure that Fire Brigades and other larger vehicles pass through, construction of underpasses, overpasses etc were discussed in the meeting. “Discussions were held on important railway infrastructure issues of Goa,” informed SWR officials who attended the meeting.
