If short of majority, BJP will form govt with support from Independents & regional parties says CM Sawant
Digital Goa, Mar 8 – CM Pramod Sawant today said that even if BJP is short of a few seats to establish majority, they will take support from Independents and Regional Parties and form the govt. “Even if we are short of a few seats , I feel that winning Independents will support us,” said Sawant. “MGP also is quite likely to come for discussion to support us to form the govt. Regional parties have supported us before this. Central and local leadership is in talks with them. We can decide on their demands later,” he added. Sawant is in Delhi to meet PM Narendra Modi and brief him about the recently concluded elections. “With the exception of few, most exit polls suggest a win for BJP in Goa. I am confident that of the 40 seats maximum i.e. over 20 seats will be won by BJP,” asserted Sawant.
Most Exit polls have suggested a fractured mandate and a neck to neck fight between BJP and Congress. Goa Poll results will be announced on March 10.
