Digital Goa, Mar 8 – All nine branches of the under liquidation Madgaum Urban Co-operative bank located at Margao, Sanguem, Old Market (Margao), Curtorim, Benaulim, Panaji, St. Andre (Goa Velha), Aquem Alto (Margao) and Ponda will be shut down from April 1,2022. The bank issued a public notice to this effect today. The Banking license of The Madgaum Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. was cancelled by RBI on July 27, 2021. Consequently, upon request from RBI; the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Government of Goa appointed Mr. S.V.Naik as the Liquidator for the Bank for commencement of winding up the Business of the Bank.
