Digital Goa, Jan 31 – Canacona police have seized illegally transported tobacco and tobacco based products worth Rs 42 lakh from Pollem Checkpost at Canacona. The seized goods include Rs 33.90 lakh worth Pan Masala and Rs 9.95 lakh worth chewable tobacco. The Karnataka registered vehicle in which the goods were being transported has been seized and the driver and cleaner have been taken into custody.
