Digital Goa, Feb 25 – Mormugao Municipal Council(MMC) Chairperson Damodar Kaskar today said that the council has initiated the process of taking loan from bank to pay the pending salary dues of the municipality staff. The proposal has been sent for approval to Directorate of Municipal Administration(DMA) for approval, he added. The staff has been paid their salary till December 2021. Kaskar said that MMC faced fund crunch as its officials responsible for revenue collection were on election duty.
