Digital Goa, Feb 27 – Mopa link road affected farmers from Varkhand, Nagzar, Tulaskarwadi, Dhargal and surrounding areas blocked the road at Mopa today demanding justice. The farmers agitating under the banner of Dhargal Mopa Shetkari Sangharsh Samiti demanded that the work of the link road be stopped immediately in view of the show cause and stop work order issued by the local panchayat. Warning that the agitation will be intensified in days to come, farmers said that they will stage a sit in protest at the police station. Farmers are also contemplating moving National Green Tribunal(NGT).
