Rane warns Girish of filing Rs 100 crore defamation suit if allegation regarding SEZ land auctioning not withdrawn within 48-hours

Digital Goa, Dec 20 – Industries Minister Vishwajeet Rane today warned GPCC President Girish Chodankar of filing Rs 100 crore defamation suit against him if he does not apologize or withdraw his allegation regarding multi-crore scam by the Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) within next 48-hours. Congress had yesterday demanded that PM Modi should initiate an inquiry into alleged multi-crore scam by GIDC for violating RERA, TCP and IDC regulations while auctioning SEZ plots. Rane said the related files are there with his for anyone to inspect. He asked Congress to move the courts if they had any doubts about the process of SEZ land auctioning instead of making baseless allegations. “Maximum scams occurred during Congress regime,” he added.
