Digital Goa, Dec 20 – In yet another blow to Congress, Curtorim MLA Reginald Alex Lorenco today resigned as Member of Legislative Assembly. He submitted his resignation as MLA to the Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Rajesh Patnekar. Reginald is likely to join Trinamool Congress. He was one of the eight candidates to be officially announced by Congress in the forthcoming assembly elections. Now, Congress is left with only Digambar Kamat and Pratapsingh Rane. With his resignation, the strength of Congress party in assembly has further reduced to 2 and the strength of 40-member Goa Legislative Assembly has reached 34. So far, six MLAs have resigned as MLA that includes 3 from Congress, one from Goa Forward, one from BJP and one Independent. Reginald was also hobnobbing with AAP before he was made Vice President of Congress Party.
