Digital Goa, Dec 15 – Dabolim MLA and Minister Mauvin Godinho today allayed fears that Dabolim Airport will be turned into Military Airport once Mopa Airport becomes functional. “These are rumours which some people are spreading, more so as elections are approaching,” he said. “We have spent Rs 450 crore to enhance the facilities at the Airport another Rs 250 crore will be spent on Aerobridges. Are these done for military flights?,” he questioned. “Dabolim Airport is a matter of pride for AAI. Under no circumstance will it be allowed to close (for civilian flights),” he asserted.
