Digital Goa, Dec 29- Goa govt will soon re-launch the one time settlement scheme(OTS) for power consumers in the State for the benefit of those left out from the last OTS, said Power Minister Nilesh Cabral. He said a tender will be floated soon to install smart metres for all electrical consumers in the State. Currently, 500 smart metres have been installed on trial basis and the result is good, Cabral added. Goa will be fully renewable energy state by the year 2027, said Cabral. He further informed that the Central govt has provided a German consultant to Goa to achieve this target within stipulated time. He added that a hybrid system consisting of solar, wind and battery is being tested at two places in Goa. This hybrid system, if successful, will be made available to other consumers, Cabral said. He further informed that 45 more electric charging stations in addition to existing 5 stations will be added in the State soon.
