Goa beginning to see spike in Covid infections with 112 new cases reported today, highest in 3 months

Digital Goa, Dec 28 – Goa’s single day covid count crossed the 100 mark yet again after nearly 3 months and stands at 112 today. The state had seen 113 covid cases on Sept 30 this year. One covid death was recorded in the state today. With 41 recoveries the active covid count also crossed the 500 mark and stands at 535. Positivity rate stands at 4.03 % as 112 of 2776 samples have tested positive. Thousands of tourist have descended in the state to enjoy the festive season which started from Christmas. Hundreds of parties are being held in the state with scent regards to the social distancing and other Covid protocols.
