Congress demand CBI inquiry and seek governor’s intervention in PWD job scam

Digital Goa, Dec 13 – Goa Congress today demanded CBI inquiry into the alleged job scam in Goa Govt’s Public Works Department(PWD). Leader of opposition Digambar Kamat alleged that Staff Selection Commission formed to take care of recruitment and related examinations and screening has been systematically sidelined by the state’s BJP government to facilitate manipulation. Alleging that departments were being allowed to hold examinations on their own in order to obtain bribes, Congress also demanded that all recruitment drives carried out since October, 2019 be canceled. Panaji BJP MLA Babush Monserrate had alleged Rs 70 crore bribe for govt jobs scam by PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar.
Congress also submitted a memorandum to Goa Governor P.S Sreedharan Pillai demanding his intervention in recruitments scam and urging him to give justice to deserving youth of Goa.
