Digital Goa, Dec 13 – Nationalist Congress Party(NCP)’s executive committee will discuss the the merger of legislative wing of the party in TMC by party’s lone MLA Churchill Alemao, informed Party President Jose Philip D’Souza. “Churchill has made a wrong statement. He cannot merge the party,” he asserted. Further decision in the matter will be taken by the High Command he said but refrained from making any statement about the action party proposes to take on Churchill.
He also said that Churchill had intimated the NCP High Command several times that he may take his own decision if alliance talks with Congress were not expedited.
Churchill has said in his letter of deemed merger submitted to the Goa Assembly speaker today morning that by resolution dated Dec 9, 2021 the legislative group of NCP had agreed to merge with All India Trinamool Congress(AITC) and shall henceforth function as the legislative group of AITC in Goa in Goa Legislative Assembly.
