Digital Goa, Dec 26 – Large number of tourist have descended in Goa ahead of new year celebrations amid Omicron scare. All the beaches across state are overflowing with revellers. While most of the states have declared night curfew in view of the increasing Omicron cases, Goa govt has warned the people to strictly follow Covid protocol to avoid restrictions. Sources in the Tourism industry informed that almost all hotels in the state are full to the capacity till new year. Hundreds of vehicles are entering from neighbouring States with tourists wanting to celebrate Christmas and New year in the state. There has been huge strain on road traffic and road blockages were reported at several places. The traffic moved at snail’s pace from Goa Velha to Cortalim bridge for last few days due to in going Highway work.
