Man held for driving car on Morjim beach

Pernem police said on Friday they arrested Sandeep Kumar, a Chennai native, for allegedly driving a car in a rash and negligent manner thereby endangering lives of other tourists on
Morjim beach.

Police said they have attached the car involved in the  crime.  

Pernem PI Jivba Dalvi said the incident took place on November 25 and added a video of car being driven on the beach had gone viral.

Accordingly offences were registered under Section 279 and Section 336 of Indian Penal Code
for driving a rented car bearing a registration number GA 03 W 4387 on Morjim beach against the accused, said
the police.

Pernem police are further investigating the case.
