Poor have benefited through various govt schemes: Rane

Health Minister and Valpoi MLA Vishwajit Rane distributed free gas cylinders to the villagers under the Goa Grameen Urja Yojna initiated by District Rural Development Agency at Nagargao village panchayat.

Interacting with beneficiaries in Nagargao village panchayat, Valpoi MLA Rane said that under various government schemes the poor and marginalised sections of the society have benefited in the state. He said that with the above scheme, government has brought comfort into the lives of women in the state. 

“Through the Swawlambhan scheme, Griha Aadhar, and other initiatives, we have made significant progress in the field of women’s empowerment, and a vast number of women’s organisations have benefited immensely from the programmes,” said Rane. 

Highlighting various healthcare initiatives in the state, Rane said, “We take every step of development keeping our people in mind. Our aim is to keep working for our people, resolving their concerns and bringing development to Sattari.” 

Around 17 beneficiaries were given free gas connections. Sarpanch Prashant Marathe, Laxmi Harvalkar, Laxman Gawas, Parag Khadilkar were also present.
