Meritorious students felicitated

Samrat Club, Latambarsem and Shiksha Vision, Bicholim jointly felicitated meritorious students from Latambarsem panchayat area, who scored more than 75 per cent marks in school and university examinations.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest retired principal Sanjeev Kadkade said, “Be your own sculptor without blaming fate and it is in your hands. You have to prepare for today’s competitive exams to make a living.”  In the presence of dignitaries, Sanjeev Kadkade inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp.

Dr Chandrakant Shetye, president of Shiksha Vision; Pradip Revodkar,  panchayat member; Sanjay Shetye, president of Samrat Club Latambarsem; secretary Shivguru Nanodkar; treasurer Avadhut Naik; programme coordinator Mukund Lamgaonkar, sarpanch of Mulgaon Gajanan Narvekar were present. 

Shruti Gad, Sal panch Prakash Raut and Devidas Naik Advalpal panch, Narayan Salgaonkar, Latambarse panch Balkrishna Parvar, Samrat Shekhar Naik, Yadunath Shirodkar Gurudas Korgaonkar, Mulgaon panch Vishalsen Gad, Menkure panch Mohan Naik, businessman Pawan Rane, Latambarse panch Sameer Gawas  were also present. 

Panchayat member Pradip Revodkar expressed his views on the occasion.

“Education is the only power that can change our situation.  It is up to you to change the situation,” said Dr Chandrakant Shetty.

A total of 125 students from Sal, Menkurem,  Advalpal, Mulgaon and Latambarse panchayat areas, who have scored more than 75 marks were honoured.
