Mapusa
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday visited Mapusa to meet businessmen and assured to resolve various issues after TMC comes to power in the state. Surprisingly, the absence of local business community raised eyebrows during her visit.
Banerjee during her maiden visit to Mapusa was welcomed with protest by Hindu organisations shouting slogans against her at Hutatma Chowk.
Addressing the gathering West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the presence of national vice president Luizinho Faleiro, TMC and tennis player Leander Paes, Adv Yatish Naik, Swati Kerkar, Priya Rathod and others slammed the BJP government for failing to resolve various issues and assured that if TMC comes to power all issues in the state will be resolved.
“The BJP government has failed to solve problems like women security, unemployment, fishing community related problems, tourism and other issues. Goa is a beautiful state, we love Goa and TMC will go all out to help the state” said Banerjee.
She further said that TMC with other local parties in Goa if it forms the government will solve all issues in the state.
Lack of arrangements for Mamata’s visit was visible as the market entrance opposite Sirsat building was crowded violating Covid norms besides no arrangements was made for the local media who had to struggle with the TMC media who surrounded the dais. The organiser also failed to make proper arrangements for a loudspeaker, hence the speech of Didi was restricted to a few in the crowd.
A group of activists attached to various Hindu organisations had gathered at Hutatma Chowk to protest against the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in front of the Maruti temple and shouted slogans against her over violence against Hindus in West Bengal.
