Attempt to commit murder case: court frames charges against two accused

Additional District and Sessions Judge, Margao,  has framed  charges against Ayub Sayed (26) of Fakirband and Anil Kumar (37) in the case of an attack on a resident of Dialgona, Telaulim  Cenvi Pires (34) and attempt to commit his murder.

The Margao police said that the two alleged accused  from Calconda, Margao – Ayub Sayed of Fakirband  and Anil Kumar, armed with iron road and koita had attacked  the resident of Dialgona-Telaulim,  Salcete  after restraining him and attempted to commit his murder.

The police said that the two alleged accused had assaulted Cenvi Pires,  thereby causing him bleeding injuries, and added that the injured was  taken to  Hospicio Hospital, Margao.

The two alleged accused who had fled were later arrested, the police added.

Based on a complaint, Margao police sub-inspector Vibhavari  Gaonkar had registered offences under Section 341 of IPC for restraining, Section 326 of IPC for causing hurt and Section 307 of  IPC for attempting to commit murder and Section 506 (ii) of IPC for threatening with dire consequences.

Referring to the complaint lodged by Pires, the police said that the two alleged accused  with their common intention wrongfully restrained  him while  going on  Activa scooter by using  a car  driven by accused Ayub  and further  assaulted  him  with koita  and iron rod. 

“The accused person had parked car in the middle of the road and the complainant  had asked the accused persons to move the car to the side of the road,” said the police.
