Four more persons lose battle to COVID

The state’s COVID-19 death count rose to 3,312, as four more patients succumbed to the virus on Wednesday.

Goa registered 83 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours with the positivity rate of 1.58 per cent.

The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 1,76,318 of which 830 are active cases while 1,72,176 patients have defeated the deadly disease.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao- 124 cases, Vasco – 27 cases, Panaji- 51 cases and Mapusa – 29 cases.

While the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 16 cases, Bicholim – 23 cases, Pernem – 24 cases, Valpoi – 14 cases, Curchorem – 9 cases and Canacona – 26 cases.

And, the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 25 cases, Betki – 22 cases, Candolim- 51 cases, Cansarvanem – 2 cases, Colvale – 27 cases, Corlim – 13 cases, Chimbel – 25 cases, Siolim – 31 cases, Porvorim- 30 cases, Mayem – 6 cases, Balli – 29 cases, Cansaulim – 24 cases, Chinchinim – 18 cases, Cortalim – 40 cases, Curtorim – 25 cases, Loutolim – 14 cases, Marcaim – 5 cases, Quepem – 20 cases, Sanguem – 3 cases, Shiroda- 10 cases, Dharbandora – 1 cases, Ponda – 46 cases and Navelim – 20 cases.
