The Mapusa police have informed that they have arrested three people for allegedly assaulting a person over a petty issue.
According to the police, Hakeem Khan has lodged a complaint against three people identified as Hussain Mulla, Nagesh Polkar and Prnail Shinde, all residents of Dangui Colony for allegedly assaulting him.
The police said that the incident took place at around 8.15 pm on Monday near a chicken centre at the Housing Board.
The police said the complainant had gone to the chicken centre, and the three alleged accused had come there, and added that over a minor issue, the alleged accused got into an argument with the complainant and further assaulted him, thereby causing him injuries.
Mapusa police registered a case against all three alleged accused and arrested them.
