Digital Goa, Aug 29 – Goa government will commence with Telemedicine consultation initiative from Oct 2 announced CM Pramod Sawant. He was speaking at the inauguration of the Primary Health Centre at Betki. People more specifically senior citizens will be able to avail the services of doctors over the phone by sitting at home, through the telemedicine consultation, said Sawant. “Patients will be called to the hospitals only if there is need to get them admitted. Investigation will be done and guidance will be given over the phone call. This will also help reduce the number of people physically visiting hospitals in these pandemic times,” he added. The new Betki Health Center is equipped with casualty, OT facilities, Gynecology Department, Diagnostic department, Pharmacy facilities, OPD, Ambulance facility etc.
