Mapusa: Stating that when the wound is small it is better to treat, but if it grows then it is difficult to treat, former WRD minister and senior BJP leader Dayanand Mandrekar said that a cabinet minister is coming to Siolim and working but the party has not taken appropriate action against him. This was brought to my notice by locals and it is my duty to highlight the issue before the Chief Minister, he said. Mandrekar was addressing the gathering in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant during a meeting at Narayan Dev Mandir in Canca.
There are speculations that Ports Minister Michael Lobo is likely to field his wife and Parra sarpanch Delilah Lobo from Siolim constituency.
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited Siolim wherein he participated in several meetings and interacted with the people of Siolim in the presence of former WRD minister Dayanand Mandrekar, Siolim BJP mandal Mohan Dabhale, ZP Sanisha Toraskar, ZP Niharika Mandrekar and other office bearers were present on the stage.
Addressing the gathering Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the BJP government has undertaken development in the state despite various hurdles.
“Some had come and some gone. Some came for personal gain. I have removed them from the cabinet as they wanted to protect their personal interest and not the state’s interest” said Sawant.
He said that the BJP will take the right decision at the right time. Sawant was replying to media questions about the Minister actively moving around in Siolim constituency to promote his wife.
Sawant further said that despite a drop in 90 percent of revenue still the government’s various schemes were not stopped.
“I am grateful to the people of Siolim for reposing their faith in my government and elected both the ZP’s even though there was no BJP MLA elected in Siolim constituency. I am confident that in 2022 the lotus will bloom again in Siolim and that is why there is great enthusiasm among the workers “said Sawant.
