Two more succumb to dreaded virus
Panaji: Goa recorded 74 new COVID-19 cases, and two more deaths linked to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours; the tally of active COVID-19 cases now stands at 945.
The positivity rate of the total 5,694 samples tested on Sunday stands at 1.29 per cent.
The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 1,73,791, of which 1,69,651 patients have defeated the deadly disease. Till date 3,195 patients have succumbed to the disease.
According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao- 52 cases, Vasco – 12 cases, Panaji- 67 cases and Mapusa – 44 cases.
While the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 15 cases, Bicholim – 17 cases, Pernem – 23 cases, Valpoi – 13 cases, Curchorem – 23 cases and Canacona – 39 cases.
And, the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 35 cases, Betki – 50 cases, Candolim- 37 cases, Cansarvanem – 5 cases, Colvale – 33 cases, Corlim – 27 cases, Chimbel – 38 cases, Siolim – 33 cases, Porvorim- 40 cases, Balli – 28 cases, Cansaulim – 50 cases, Chinchinim – 26 cases, Cortalim – 34 cases, Curtorim – 34 cases, Loutolim – 30 cases, Marcaim – 2 cases, Quepem – 14 cases, Sanguem – 27 cases, Shiroda- 18 cases, Dharbandora – 17 cases, Ponda – 26 cases and Navelim – 32 cases.
