State sees 148 new COVID cases; 4 mortalities

Goa recorded 148 new COVID-19 cases, and four more deaths associated with the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of active COVID-19 cases to 1,130. 

The positivity rate of the total 4,678 samples tested on Tuesday is 3.16 per cent.  The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 1,70,729 of which 1,66,459 patients have defeated the deadly disease. Till date 3,140 patients have succumbed to the disease. 

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao- 89 cases, Vasco – 31 cases, Panaji- 64 cases and Mapusa – 23 cases.

While the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 28 cases, Bicholim – 32 cases, Pernem – 55 cases, Valpoi – 16 cases, Curchorem – 36 cases and Canacona – 23 cases.

 And, the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 19 cases, Betki – 43 cases, Candolim- 30 cases, Cansarvanem – 13 cases, Colvale – 24 cases, Corlim – 38 cases, Chimbel – 26 cases, Siolim – 44 cases, Porvorim- 27 cases, Mayem – 3 cases, Balli – 20 cases, Cansaulim – 57 cases, Chinchinim – 28 cases, Cortalim – 58 cases, Curtorim – 36 cases, Loutolim – 31 cases, Marcaim – 26 cases, Quepem – 28 cases, Sanguem – 45 cases, Shiroda- 14 cases, Dharbandora – 30 cases, Ponda – 60 cases and Navelim – 33 cases.
