State registers 94 new COVID-19 cases; one death

The state recorded 94 fresh COVID-19 cases on Saturday with the positivity rate of 1.96 per cent.

One new death linked to the virus was recorded in the last 24 hours. Till date, the pandemic has claimed 3,147 lives in Goa.

As on Saturday, Goa has 1,058 active COVID-19 cases. The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 1,71,146 of which 1,66,941 patients have defeated the deadly disease.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao- 96 cases, Vasco – 23 cases, Panaji- 68 cases and Mapusa – 23 cases.

While the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 32 cases, Bicholim – 19 cases, Pernem – 51 cases, Valpoi – 20 cases, Curchorem – 27 cases and Canacona – 35 cases.

And, the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 11 cases, Betki – 33 cases, Candolim- 24 cases, Cansarvanem –  10 cases, Colvale – 12 cases, Corlim – 43 cases, Chimbel – 33 cases, Siolim – 44 cases, Porvorim- 38 cases, Mayem – 2 cases, Balli – 17 cases, Cansaulim – 58 cases, Chinchinim – 36 cases, Cortalim – 47 cases, Curtorim – 27 cases, Loutolim – 20 cases, Marcaim – 23 cases, Quepem – 21 cases, Sanguem – 48 cases, Shiroda-  14 cases, Dharbandora – 16 cases, Ponda – 44 cases and Navelim – 37 cases.
