State records 152 new COVID-19 cases

Two more succumb to deadly infection

Panaji: Goa recorded 152 new COVID-19 cases, and two more deaths associated with the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of active COVID-19 cases to 1,093.

The positivity rate of the total 4,322 samples tested on Friday stood at 3.51 per cent. 

The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 1,71,052, of which 1,66,813 patients have defeated the deadly disease.

Till date, 3,146 patients have succumbed to the disease.

According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao- 85 cases, Vasco – 30 cases, Panaji- 59 cases and Mapusa – 26 cases.

While the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 31 cases, Bicholim – 24 cases, Pernem – 57 cases, Valpoi – 22 cases, Curchorem – 31 cases and Canacona – 35 cases.

And, the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 14 cases, Betki – 36 cases, Candolim- 24 cases, Cansarvanem – 13 cases, Colvale – 15 cases, Corlim – 44 cases, Chimbel – 23 cases, Siolim – 57 cases, Porvorim- 37 cases, Mayem – 4 cases, Balli – 17 cases, Cansaulim – 53 cases, Chinchinim – 36 cases, Cortalim – 50 cases, Curtorim – 25 cases, Loutolim – 24 cases, Marcaim – 24 cases, Quepem – 31 cases, Sanguem – 51 cases, Shiroda- 16 cases, Dharbandora – 21 cases, Ponda – 47 cases and Navelim – 31 cases.
