Deputy collectors of South Goa have collected and submitted the necessary information of the persons without identity proof in the South Goa district, additional collector, South Goa Sanjit Rodrigues said on Monday. This information is required for COVID vaccination.
Deputy collectors were been appointed as the head of the taluka sub-groups formed by the district collector recently to collect the information of the persons including the migrants and beggars in their respective areas for the purpose of giving the COVID jab at the earliest.
Speaking to this daily, Rodrigues said, “The deputy collectors of South Goa have submitted the details of the persons who have no identity proof. This includes migrants. In all 206 such persons were found in South Goa. The process of writing to the health secretary has also started so that the Cowin portal can be used for vaccinating these people.”
He said that data compilation of South Goa areas has started and that in next two- three days it will be completed. The additional collector is appointed as the district nodal officer for the task. These taluka sub group also consists of NGO members.
