Seven more succumb to the deadly virus
Panaji: The state, on Sunday, registered 215 new cases of COVID-19, while seven more deaths associated with the coronavirus disease were recorded in the last 24 hours.
Out of the seven deaths, six persons died at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim and one succumbed to the virus at a private hospital in North Goa, as per the Directorate of Health Services.
Till date, 3,039 patients have succumbed to the disease.
The confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stand at 1,66098, of which 2,511 are active cases while 1,60,548 patients have recovered from the disease.
According to the DHS, active positive cases in the jurisdictions of urban health centres stand as follows: Margao- 141 cases, Vasco – 73 cases, Panaji- 123 cases and Mapusa – 91 cases.
While the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of community health centres are as follows: Sankhali – 126 cases, Bicholim – 56 cases, Pernem – 75 cases, Valpoi – 54 cases, Curchorem – 94 cases and Canacona – 135 cases.
And, the active positive cases in the jurisdictions of primary health centres stand as follows: Aldona – 37 cases, Betki – 51 cases, Candolim- 112 cases, Cansarvanem – 19 cases, Colvale – 39 cases, Corlim – 57 cases, Chimbel – 101 cases, Siolim – 100 cases, Porvorim- 87 cases, Mayem – 20 cases, Balli – 34 cases, Cansaulim – 65 cases, Chinchinim – 47 cases, Cortalim – 104 cases, Curtorim – 41 cases, Loutolim – 64 cases, Marcaim – 40 cases, Quepem – 93 cases, Sanguem – 92 cases, Shiroda- 63 cases, Dharbandora – 83 cases, Ponda – 166 cases and Navelim – 28 cases.
