As the main PWD water pipeline was choked at the Guirim cross junction the residents near St Anthony school were not getting proper water supply for the last many days.
The Guirim panch member Sunny Nanodkar said that the residents staying near St Anthony’s High School were not getting proper water supply for the last many days. The panchayat received many complaints from residents in this regard. The panchayat had written to the PWD to bring an earthmoving equipment as the main pipeline is laid deep down the road and the main pipeline needs to be opened and the mud removed that has choked the pipeline.
Sunny added that since the work on the national highway NH 66 is in progress the residents of Guirim are the main sufferers many a times, while working the main water pipeline is
damaged and residents do not get water supply for days together.
In this case people used to get water but the flow was very less. Once the work is completed the residents will be relieved of the water issue.
PWD sources said that they have received complaints from the panchayat and locals that they are not getting water supply near the Guirim cross bypass. Due to the recent roadwork on the national
highway the main water pipeline could have been damaged.
