Panaji: Crime Branch police informed that they have arrested one 29-year-old Nepali national, and seized drugs worth Rs 1.05 lakh during a raid conducted at Arpora late Monday evening.
The police said that the accused Mustakim Dhunia was earlier working in a hotel in the costal belt in North Goa. Presently, he was staying in a rented room in Marcel.
According to the police, based on a source information, crime branch team led by PIs Rahul Parab, Narayan Chimulkar and PSI Nitin Halarnkar conducted the raid at a location in Arpora late Monday evening.
The police said that the accused was found carrying in his scooter 108 grams of suspected charas, worth around Rs 1.05 lakh.
The police said that the accused was reportedly involved in drug peddling activities in Arpora and the coastal belt. PSI Marlon D’Souza is further investigating the case.
